DEANZ: Journal of Open, Flexible and Distance Learning

The Journal of Open, Flexible and Distance Learning is a refereed journal published by the Distance Education Association of New Zealand (DEANZ).

The journal “publishes articles from around the world relating to primary research investigations, literature reviews, the application of distance education innovations, and the experiences of teaching at a distance.”

The current editorial team has increased the number of issues per year from one to three (in 2012), and has taken the step from publishing in print only, to making the journal freely available online. The first issue for 2012 was a conference issue — it contains 13 referreed articles from the DEANZ conference held in Wellington in April.

The journal’s range is global, but a considerable number of papers focus on the New Zealand context.

I am copyeditor for the journal, which was redesigned in 2009, and am happy to provide writers with advice for submission to this, and other academic journals.
